2008 STUDENT SUMMIT
| On April 25, 2008, the 3rd Annual Student Summit of the Environmental Consortium was held at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Engaging the Unengaged: Spreading the Green Message Beyond the Choir attracted a diverse student contingent from more than a dozen institutions around the region. Lucy Shea, Director of Strategy for Futerra Sustainability Communications, led a master class in which attendees participated in a hands-on experience that left them with more knowledge, ideas and empowerment for effectively communicating environmental issues and initiatives at their home institutions. 2007 ENVIRONMENTAL CAREER AND GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIR
| On October 4, 2007 more than 100 students from the region attended the Task Force's inaugural 'Environmental Career and Graduate School Fair' which was held at Pace University. Fifteen graduate schools exhibited (member institutions of the Consortium), and sixteen companies and organizations exhibited, ranging from large engineering and consulting firms, to government entities, to small non-profit organizations. Adrienne Atwell, Head of Sustainability Management, Americas Division for Swiss Re delivered the keynote.
The Student Summit provided students from around the region the opportunity to network with peers, collaborate and share each other’s skills, talents, and knowledge to help bring lasting changes to our campuses.

Mayor Jason West, Village of New Paltz, gave opening remarks.
Students had an opportunity to network with like-minded students in the region, share initiatives and success stories with others, and propose ideas and programs for the Consortium.
