River Summer 2008 Call for Faculty

Deadline to submit Participation Form: May 9, 2008

River Summer 2008 planning is underway! Thanks to continued funding from The Andrew F. Mellon Foundation, we are pleased to announce that our summer program for faculty development will continue!

River Summer 2008 will be a unique format for River Summer with each of two modules transiting the full extent of the estuary section of the river – from the New York Harbor to Albany in Module 1, and from Albany to the NY Harbor in Module 2. This ‘Transit the Spine’ is an opportunity we have not offered before! For full details, click on the documents above.

Who can apply for 2008?
Open to higher education faculty/Environmental Consortium member faculty. If you are not currently a member of the Environmental Consortium, please apply for individual membership to the Consortium, as participation in River Summer is a benefit of membership - there is no fee to join!

If you know of Middle or High School teachers who might be interested in participating, please share this information with them – if there is space available we would like to accommodate as many as possible. Middle or high school teachers may apply for individual affiliate memberhsip to the Consortium.
