Collaborating Partnerships are available to organizations that do not fit the criteria for institutional or affiliate membership (government, for-profit etc.), and wish to propose a specific project with a defined time limit. The project may be initiated by the organization or by a Consortium institution. A Collaborating Partnership project requires the commitment of more than one (1) Consortium institution. The Consortium institutions will provide educational/research resources to serve the project. The project must afford a reasonable opportunity for student involvement and the organization will endeavor to provide internships for students. Download application(.doc).

MetroPool Inc. and the Environmental Consortium initiated a new collaborative summer internship program in June 2007. Positions for Program Assistants in the Clean Air New York program were established and filled exclusively by students enrolled at Consortium member institutions during the summers of 2007-2009. Interns are involved with educational outreach to businesses, the general public, and community partners.
